                        About.

Initially, Yolande's paintings were primarily focused on landscapes and portraits, but the whole direction of her art changed when she started working in the fashion industry in 2007. Inspired by her new surroundings, Yolande became obsessed with drawing and painting Fashion Illustrations. That same year, she came up with the idea of creating an art collection entitled ‘Love Genevieve’ that fused together her two passions: art and fashion.

The 'Love Genevieve' Fashion Art collection

In 2007, Yolande launched a series of fashion themed greeting cards as part of her 'Love Genevieve' collection, which was named after her mother 'Genevieve'. These cards were quickly snapped up by mini design chain 'Lifestyle Bazaar'. After a successful launch at their Shoreditch branch, most of her card designs had sold out within just two weeks.

Yolande has exhibited her works at the Foundry in London and also during London Fashion Week. She has delivered a range of workshops and talks at a range of Academic institutions via programmes such as the 'Aces Youth Project' and 'Inspirational You'. She regularly speaks at conferences and hosts special events to inspire and share her love of art with others.

So below is a little bit about me ... And if you want to know even more read about my Art Evolution Story here

Yolande is a London based British Artist of Congolese heritage. From an early age, her love of all things fashion and art was already apparent, having entered and won her first art competition aged 11. She evidently adopted her love of Art from her grandfather Pierre who was also an Artist.

After studying art at school, Yolande went on to study and complete an A-Level in Art .

Despite going on to complete a Degree in Journalism, she continued honing her skills by taking part in  evening life drawing and water colour classes. Upon graduating, she went on to work in the media industry; however, she continued to paint and get commissioned for work from private clients.
